The Philippine Government demands better standards on vehicles

What has always puzzled me, as being a visitor to the Philippines, is the vast amount of shitty old ugly polluting jeepneys and buses used in this country.

Even if they are supposed to have emission control on a yearly basis, is it very evident that there must be some corruption going on, as so many of those jeepnys spew out toxic diesel fumes that affect the whole city population.

Mr. Duterte is now the first president to really crack down on this major problem. He demands that all Public Utility Vehicles have a certain standard, and that their engines comply with Euro 4 emission standards. Wow, that is GREAT, mr. Duterte. You are truly a servant of the Nation.

I encourage the people of the Philippines to stand up against the massive pollution committed by those old cars/engines, and that you deman a safe standard for you transport.
