Going from Digos city, or from Bansalan, you will arrive in the Mount Apo Natural Park. Kapatagan is the name of the small town there, by the foot of the mighty volcano. There are quite a lot of resorts along the way if you choose to travel from McArthur Highway at the Northern point of Digos city. That road is quite narrow and winding, with houses and forest along the way.
It takes around 45 minutes from the Highway (The Digos-Cotobato highway) until you reach the township of Kapatagan. Most resorts are found on this road stretch. If you drive through Kapatagan, you will fin a Hot Spring there, and a beautiful wide road with stunning views, leading down to Bansalan. This trip takes also around 45 minutes, and is really a breath taking stretch of landscape.
Only 6-8 minutes from Digos, there is a cozy Restaurant,
Ben Rose Park, to the left. It has a nice view of Mount Apo and the valley to the West. They serve simple meals there, and there is a play ground for the kids.
Another few minutes further up the road, you got a resort called
Sky Garden, literally situated on the mountain top, and usually engulfed in clouds and fog.
Getting close to Kapatagan, there is an increasing number of resorts. One of the most important ones should be Dhen Yho's Place, and Land of Peace, situated on the right side of the road.

PRINCESS EDNES GARDEN RESORT is the first place we visited in the area. It is a small cozy place with a lot of flowers, a great swimming pool and some cottages where you can enjoy either your own food brought with you, or order food from the resort itself. They also have a karaoke machine there.
Kapatagan itself has some resorts with rooms for rent. The town itself is quiet and small. There is a gasoline station there, and an ATM for local cards. The thing about this place is that it is very COOL, temperature wise! So bring some warm clothes...
After driving through Kapatagan, you will be able to enjoy the
Hot Spring resort, around 12 minutes from the town, towards Bansalan.
As mentioned, the road continues from Kapatagan, Westwards, ending up in the small town of Bansalan. The road is wide and has a good quality, and the scenery is absolutely amazing.
ENDING UP IN BANSALAN: Here is the intersection, if you want to find the road going from Bansalan towards Kapatagan:
And from Bansalan, it takes only around 15 minutes to drive back to Digos City, depending on your speed of course.
